MEET ANGIE

Dr. Angie Gardner is the Mayor of Eatonville, a lifelong educator, and a proven leader dedicated to building strong, safe, and thriving communities. A 34-year resident of Eatonville, Dr. Gardner was first elected to the Town Council in 2020 and became Mayor in 2022.

Under her leadership, Eatonville has undergone a comprehensive transformation, modernizing government operations, improving transparency, and securing millions in infrastructure investment. Under Dr. Gardner’s leadership, Eatonville has experienced tangible, people-centered progress. She implemented a Small Business Development Program to help local entrepreneurs grow and partnered with grassroots community groups to better connect the government to the needs of residents.

Dr. Gardner has overseen major investments in essential infrastructure — from replacing crumbling water and sewer systems to improving stormwater management and addressing long-standing flooding at Catalina Park. She led the effort to develop Eatonville’s first comprehensive master plan to guide thoughtful, community-driven growth and initiated long-overdue repairs and upgrades to municipal facilities. The new Police Athletic League community clubhouse and senior center reflect her commitment to creating spaces where every generation can connect, grow, and thrive.

A career educator of more than 20 years, Dr. Gardner brings a teacher’s approach to public service, grounded in preparation, compassion, and accountability. She holds a B.A. in Economics and a Master’s in Education from Rollins College and has completed doctoral coursework in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Gardner’s commitment to community service is personal and enduring. She and her husband of 41 years, Brent, have raised two daughters and a grand-nephew in Central Florida, and they are proud grandparents of two grandsons.

Dr. Gardner is running for Orange County Commission District 7 to ensure every neighborhood, from Pine Hills to College Park, has a leader who listens, leads with integrity, and fights for progress that leaves no one behind.
